I shall direct your collective attentions to this URL: http://www.fandom.com/x-men/editoria...&obj_id=259351
It's an interview with Claremont about his new book. In the last paragraph, our fuzzy guy is mentioned. And, just for Whisk, everyone's fav phaser and her draconian buddy are also.
It seems like an answer to a throw-away question. But the writer of the article does kinda hint that this answer may contain clues to the future of his book.
And on a side note...Storm and Beast together?! There's a pair....yeesh.

Bleh...he just threw his name out there with a bunch of others. I don't think it signifies any special regard. I hope cc never writes Nighty again. I don't think he has any feel for the character anymore.

I liked the piece (naturally I would). Maybe there's hope that Kitty and Lockheed will pay a visit. After all, she's been studying the diaries longer than anyone else.
I'm not opposed to CC writing Kurt again. I just wonder in which direction CC would have Kurt head. Unlimited certainly leads one to believe that Kurt will make some changes; I just hope that those changes will not make Kurt into a totally different character.

I dunno. It probably doesn't mean anything, but you never can tell. Judging by that "perverted priest" thing, I would almost rather see Claremont have him than Morrison. CC didn't do anything that horrible to him, except the priest thing. He may have been boring but at least he was still alive and if Morrison gets ahold of him he could be A-dead, or B-ruined beyond all repair.

I'm in complete agreement, Slarti. If Morrison turns Kurt into a perverted priest, he'll have a HUGE backlash on his hands. Here's hoping the he realizes this and leaves that idea by the wayside.

Hmmn ...I get the feeling from his 'riddle-speak' that someone from Claremont's bunch is going to be falling in love with *gasp* Mystique!
Hey buds, wouldnt it'd be REALLY ironic if...
#1.) Claremonts' book ends up being the most popular of the 3 main X-titles and..
#2.) Morrison screws with Kurt SO badly that we wish he would'a stayed in Claremonts hands!
Mayhaps, there be some strange and troubled times on yonder horizon...

Morrison kind of makes a career out of being full of sh!t all the time. I wouldn't take this "perverted priest" stuff too seriously. Anyway, I think he was just responding to that whole Britney Spears thing when he said that. I'd like to take that comment as meaning that he doesn't see Kurt as an un-fab character, like the writer of the letter was worried he might.
